Privacy Policy — Salomons & Partners
Last updated: 24 March 2026
1. General Information
This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. When you share information with us, it is in general to be considered for a position that we are recruiting for today, or to establish a relationship with us for the future. We understand that this information is private and confidential and treat it as such. Below you will find an explanation of the information we collect and how we treat it.
2. Lawful Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to match qualified candidates with relevant career opportunities on behalf of our clients. We have evaluated that this interest is not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms, given that: the processing is limited to information directly relevant to career evaluation; the data is treated confidentially and accessed only by personnel with a professional need; and candidates retain the right to object to processing at any time and to request erasure of their data.
Where we use AI-assisted tools as part of the recruitment process, we have evaluated that their use falls within the same legitimate interest basis, as they serve solely to support consultant judgment in matching candidates to roles. Candidates who wish to object to processing on this basis, or to request that their candidacy be evaluated without AI-assisted tools, may do so by contacting us at Salomons & Partners GmbH, Bahnhofstrasse 10, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland.
3. What Kind of Information Do We Collect?
We only collect information that is relevant for the recruitment process, such as: your name, address, e-mail, telephone, current and past employers and roles, nationality, gender, CV, compensation information, and other information you share with us. In addition to the information you share with us, we also use publicly accessible sources.
4. Which Information Do We Store in Our Systems?
We store the information you have provided to us over the course of a recruitment process so that we can reach you more quickly in case a new career opportunity presents itself, and so that you do not have to repeat the same information twice.
5. How Long Do We Store Your Information?
In our experience, people don't change employers very often. Having a longer-term relationship is therefore in the interest of both of us. We automatically delete your information if we have not been in contact for three years, since we consider the information outdated after such a long time.
6. Where Is the Information Stored?
We maintain secure information storage facilities in Switzerland and the EU.
7. Who Can Access My Information?
Your information can be accessed by our employees and a small number of IT suppliers and contractors we use. The employees, suppliers, and contractors are contractually bound to non-disclosure and confidentiality.
8. How Can You Have Your Information Erased?
You can request to have your information erased via this webpage. It usually takes a working week to have all your information erased. You will receive an e-mail once this has happened. Once your information has been erased, it is possible that you might be contacted for a career opportunity in the future through social media or referrals, since we will have no record that we were previously in contact.
9. Who Are the Partners You Mentioned?
We work together with the SpenglerFox network of search firms. Through our network partners we can connect you with career opportunities in other continents. SpenglerFox's information storage facilities are different from ours and they have their own data protection policies which also comply with GDPR. When we share information with them, it is to highlight you as a potential candidate for a role, which expands your chances of finding an attractive new career opportunity. They will in turn contact you and discuss the opportunity with you.
10. What If You Want to Make a Spontaneous Application?
Feel free to upload your information via this webpage. Your information is reviewed by one of our consultants, supported by AI-assisted tools as described below, who will get back to you with feedback about how well your profile fits with the needs of the clients we serve.
11. Use of Artificial Intelligence in Recruitment
We use AI-assisted tools to support our recruitment process. This section explains how AI is used and what rights you have in relation to AI-assisted decisions.
How we use AI:
- Your CV and the information you share with us may be processed by AI systems to evaluate your fit for career opportunities
- Structured data extracted from your CV — including job titles, functions, skills, and career history — may be used to configure and improve our AI-assisted recruitment tools
- Our AI systems are designed to support, not replace, the judgment of our consultants. All significant decisions about your candidacy involve human review
Your rights under the EU AI Act:
- You have the right to be informed that AI is being used in the evaluation of your candidacy
- You have the right to request a human review of any AI-assisted decision that materially affects you
- You have the right to request an explanation of how an AI-assisted evaluation was reached
- You may object to AI-assisted processing at any time by contacting us at Salomons & Partners GmbH, Bahnhofstrasse 10, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland
EU AI Act compliance: Our AI-assisted recruitment tools are classified as high-risk AI systems under the EU AI Act. We maintain structured audit records of all AI-assisted evaluations, conduct regular bias testing, and operate under a model governance framework. Full documentation is available to candidates on request.
12. Your Right to Object to Processing
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time under Article 21 of the GDPR. If you object to processing, we will cease using your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for continuing that override your rights and interests. You also have the right to object specifically to AI-assisted processing while remaining in a recruitment process — in which case your candidacy will be evaluated by our consultants without AI-assisted tools. To exercise your right to object, please contact us at Salomons & Partners GmbH, Bahnhofstrasse 10, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland. We will respond within one working week.
13. Policy Changes
Data protection law continues to evolve. We review and update this policy regularly to reflect changes in legislation and our practices. Changes to this policy can be made without notice.

We use cookies on our website to understand how visitors find us and how they interact with the website so that we can make it more informative and easy to use. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for this analysis.
